Terms of Service

1. Who we are and these Terms

TokenBlox ("TokenBlox", "we", "us", "our") runs the TokenBlox website, its Discord server and the TokenBlox Discord bot (together, the "Service"). You can contact us at [email protected].

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and TokenBlox. By signing in, creating a match, joining a tournament or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use TokenBlox

To use the Service you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• have a Discord account in good standing and be a verified member of the TokenBlox Discord server;
• be legally allowed to use a service like this where you live, and follow all laws that apply to you;
• not have been banned from TokenBlox before (unless we have agreed in writing to let you back).

We may ask you to confirm your age or identity at any time. If you do not, or if we reasonably believe you are under 18, we may suspend or close your account and cancel any Tokens or items on it.

3. Your account

• You sign in with Discord. Each person may have one TokenBlox account. Creating, using or controlling more than one account is not allowed.
• You must not sell, lend, share, transfer or let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for everything that happens on it, so keep your Discord account secure and tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
• Any game account you link (for example Roblox) must belong to you. You must not link someone else's account.
• Your Discord username updates automatically. You can change your display name once every 7 days. Your TokenBlox username can only be changed by staff; ask through Support.
• We may refuse, change or remove any username or display name that is offensive, misleading, impersonates someone, or breaks these Terms.

4. Tokens and virtual items

• Tokens, profile items (avatars, titles, borders), VIP membership and anything else you get on TokenBlox ("Virtual Items") are a limited, personal, revocable licence to use inside the Service. They are not money, e-money, a deposit, an investment or property, and you do not own them.
• Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, traded or transferred outside the Service. Any attempt to buy, sell or trade Tokens, items or accounts for money or anything else outside TokenBlox is prohibited and may lead to a permanent ban.
• All Token spending (match entries, shop purchases, VIP, tips) is final and non-refundable, except where TokenBlox refunds an entry under its match rules or where the law requires a refund.
• We may correct any balance, ledger entry or item that was credited by mistake, through a bug, through fraud or in breach of these Terms, even if you have already used it.
• TokenBlox currently does not offer deposits or withdrawals of real money. If that ever changes, it will only happen under separate terms that you must accept first.
• If your account is closed or banned, all Virtual Items on it are cancelled with no compensation, unless the law says otherwise.

5. Matches, tournaments and fees

• When you create or join a match, your entry is locked until the match is settled, cancelled or refunded. The winning side receives the pool minus the platform fee shown on the match before you join (currently 10%).
• You must follow the Rules, including the game rules shown inside each match, the host server rules and all timers. Missing a timer can mean forfeiting the match.
• Results are decided by the captains' reports. If reports conflict, the evidence process in the Rules applies. Staff decisions are final.
• We may review any match or tournament at any time, before or after it ends. If we find cheating, collusion, account sharing, a bug, a wrong report or anything suspicious, we may change the result, void the match, cancel or reverse payouts and prizes, and take action against the accounts involved.
• Tournament formats, prizes, schedules and rules are shown on each tournament and may be changed or cancelled by staff, for example if too few players check in.
• We may change fees, entry limits, timers and match settings. Changes never affect a match that has already started.

6. Shop, VIP and tips

• Shop items are bought with Tokens and go straight into your profile. Items are cosmetic and give no advantage in matches. We may change prices, rotate featured items and retire items from sale; items you already own stay yours while your account is in good standing.
• VIP lasts 30 days from purchase and does not renew automatically. VIP perks are listed in the Shop and may change. Losing access to the Service for breaking these Terms also ends VIP with no refund.
• Tips move Tokens from one player to another. They need VIP, are limited per day, and are final once sent. Tipping to move Tokens between your own accounts, to pay for anything outside TokenBlox, or to get around a restriction is prohibited.

7. Fair play and things you must not do

You must not:

• cheat, exploit bugs, use hacks, scripts, macros or third-party tools that give an unfair advantage;
• collude with opponents, fix or throw matches, or "win trade";
• use more than one account, share an account, or play on someone else's account;
• submit false results or fake, edited or misleading evidence;
• harass, threaten, bully, dox or discriminate against anyone, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content;
• impersonate staff, another player or any other person;
• buy, sell or trade Tokens, items or accounts outside the Service, or advertise doing so;
• scrape, overload, attack, reverse-engineer or try to get unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts;
• encourage or help anyone else to break these Terms or the Rules.

8. What we can do if rules are broken

If we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the Rules, we may, with or without notice: warn you; restrict chat, matches, tournaments, the shop or tips; reverse results, payouts and prizes; remove Tokens or Virtual Items gained through the breach; suspend your account for a period; or permanently ban you and any linked accounts.

If you think we got it wrong, contact Support within 14 days. A different staff member will review it where possible. Our decision after review is final.

9. Roblox, Discord and other services

• TokenBlox is an independent community service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, Discord Inc. or Twitch Interactive. Roblox, Discord and Twitch are trademarks of their owners.
• Using those services is also governed by their own terms. You are responsible for following them.
• We are not responsible for those services, their outages, changes, bans or decisions, or anything that happens inside a game. If a game or platform outage affects a match, staff will decide the outcome under the Rules.

10. The Service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep TokenBlox running fairly and securely, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, secure or that any data will be kept forever. We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service, add or remove games, or carry out maintenance at any time.

11. Our content and your content

• The TokenBlox name, logo, design, Token coin, artwork, text and software belong to TokenBlox or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.
• You keep ownership of what you post (for example chat messages, evidence and ticket replies), but you give TokenBlox a free, worldwide licence to store, display, use and share it to run, moderate and improve the Service and to deal with disputes.

12. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that:

• we are not liable for any loss of Tokens, Virtual Items, match results, rankings, data or opportunities, or for any loss caused by other players, third-party services, outages, bugs or events outside our reasonable control;
• we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill;
• our total liability to you for everything arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of £50 or the amount you paid directly to TokenBlox in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Your responsibility to us

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover any losses, costs (including reasonable legal costs) and claims that TokenBlox suffers because you broke these Terms, the Rules or the law, or because of anything posted or done through your account.

14. Closing your account

You can stop using TokenBlox at any time and ask us to close your account through Support or by email. We may suspend or close your account under section 8, or if we stop running the Service. Sections 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 continue to apply after your account is closed.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will tell you on the website or by notification before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to close your account.

16. Law and disputes

Please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly through Support. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

17. General

• These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Rules are the entire agreement between you and TokenBlox about the Service and replace anything said before.
• If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect.
• If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. You may not transfer yours.
• No one other than you and TokenBlox has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
